Rob Lowe needs to be President...on TV.

I would love a West Wing-type show where Lowe plays the President. I know there would be a lot of comparisons but I think it could make for a good show. Maybe on HBO or something (Veep was a let-down anyways) where the dialogue can be a little more fierce.

You know what I would love?

A sort of sequel to The West Wing. Sam is running for President and Josh is his Chief of Staff. The first season could be the campaign and the season finale could be his Inauguration. Martin Sheen could make guests appearances, for example; election day, Inauguration, somewhere in the middle of the campaign, maybe holidays episodes and visiting The White House.

Love your idea. I would certainly watch.

Thank you!

We can only hope that it will happen.

That is a good idea. It's probably been long enough where if Matt Santos was a 2 term president, his 8 years would be up.

reply

Most likely, I think his term,if he was a 2 term president would be up this year and obviously no chance of the show happening this year so as long as it's made within the next few years it should be fine.

If that were a show, I'd love to see him fighting to get Toby on his staff, considering how that character ended up in the West Wing.

As long as Sorkin writes it... The West Wing wasn't so well-written after he left (around the same time as Rob Lowe).

He's playing Kennedy on National Geographic's Killing Kennedy, produced by Ridley Scott.

Sam running for President with Josh and Toby running his campaign would be great. Get a couple of the regulars to come back. Have a couple of new characters also. Have Aaron Sorkin write the show. Do about 10-13 episodes a year. That would be perfect.
