Just read his imdb trivia page, & it says he started dying his hair in the late 80's because he was already going gray at that point.

When James Darren starred on 'Time Tunnel', back in 1966---he was already dying his hair.

Patrick Stewart started losing his hair @ 20.

Lots of people who grey at an early age dyes their hair. Nothing unusual about that.
