He did a lot of cameos but yes - he was a hugely prolific actor. And always a pleasure to watch, however big or small the role.

shareAbsolutely. He was involved in some serious covert stuff during his military service. I remember an on-set anecdote where a character had to be stabbed to death. Lee approached the director and said words to the effect of 'Have you ever heard the sound a man makes when he's killed with a knife? Because I have, and they don't sound like that'.

He's my most watched actor, I've seen him in 31 films.
Peter Cushing is in second place with 28, Samuel L. Jackson takes third with 26. Then there are a bunch in the 15-20 range.
