The documentary will air this evening on Complément d’Enquête, the weekly investigative programme on France 2, whose British equivalent is BBC1.
At one point, Depardieu is seen visiting a horse riding centre, where a 10-year-old girl is practising.
While the child is trotting around the enclosure, he makes a series of lewd remarks, saying that women get sexual pleasure out of riding horses and calling them “sluts”.
“Why don’t you get on a horse?” he asks his interpreter. “It does you good, you know. Generally, women who ride like a lot of other things, there’s a life in it.”
His female interpreter comes in for particularly egregious treatment throughout the visit.
“Pretty little darling. I’m in great shape, I slept a lot. If you only knew the dreams I’ve had, I know you like the back of my hand,” Depardieu tells her at one point.
“You’re going to take a nice shower and think of me,” he goes on.
In another scene, he turns to her after weighing himself and says: “124 kilos, and right now I’m not erect, erect is 126.”
“I’ve got a beam in my pants,” Depardieu adds.
Another exchange sees the actor pull the interpreter close beside him before telling another woman to “take a picture while I touch her bottom”.
The footage was shot by Yann Moix, a friend of the actor who accompanied Depardieu on his visit to North Korea to mark the totalitarian state’s 70th anniversary.
The documentary, which features just a few minutes of footage from the North Korea trip, also contains testimony from a fellow French actor, Helene Darras, who accuses Depardieu of groping her while they were working on the 2007 film Disco.
