Is that in descending order of greatness? If so, I'd disagree that Nicholson is the greatest still living.

How about Al Pacino? Robert De Niro? Gene Hackman? Surely they deserve to be in the top 10 living.

3) Al Pacino
4) Jack Nicholson
5) Sean Penn

however Willem is fabulous, one of the greatest ever but more as a character actor than as the lead (Wild at heart, Platoon, Shadow of the vampire, To live and die in L.A., great, great ,great).

Pacino and DeNiro may be good actors, but when was the last time either of them had a good movie? The Devil's Advocate? Frankenstein?

Rourke was absolutely amazing in The Wrestler, a film that was horribly overlooked by the Academy, but that doesn't make up for the many bad films he's done

Sean Penn, on the other hand, is the most overrated hack of our time
I wouldn't even put him in the top 50 list of actors, living or otherwise

Calling Sean Penn a hack kind of makes me not want to bother replying to your post, but in the interest of defending Pacino, the last good movies he's done in the last ten years were: Donnie Brasco, The Insider, Chinese Coffee, Insomnia, Angels in America, and The Merchant of Venice.
