His personality is Fletch!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aXbg_c9g5g

2008 interview with Howard Stern. The way he twists everything is exactly how Fletch speaks.

reply

Yeah, I don't know if he was just being himself in Fletch, or if he just decided to become Fletch after making up the character, but he's just like that in real life.

reply

Makes me want a Fletch Part III (if he can get into shape of course!)

reply

Unlike most film series, I think a very late sequel about an old Fletch could actually be wonderful.

reply

And this radio interview shows he still has that whit. Not sure how a 70 year old flirting with young girls would go down however.

reply

From what i understand about Chevy's personality is that he is a huge a-hole and egomaniac IRL.

I have to admit that i was still a kid when i saw Fletch the last time so i dont remeber too much about the characters personality.

Unfortunately very true! My brother and I got a chance to play in a celebrity golf tourney back in the 90s. Many caddyshack alumni were in attendance. My brother played with Bill Murray...swell fella that, like my brother, loves the game...I met Chevy...doped out of his mind...like Chris Farley fucked up...he was a hot mess and the asshole of the millennium!!!

Never meet your heroes.

reply

Yeah luckily dangerfield was more of a hero and although not at this event,I met him years before and he was a true mensch...chase asked me for Percocet and was less than happy that I didn't have one...or twelve!

reply

Rodney Dangerfield?

I've met a few celebs in my time. I met giovanni ribisi in a tattoo parlour in Los Angeles and my friend approached and he was happy to talk.

I sneaked into the carpark after the Grammys and there was a red-carpet where the celebs were waiting for their rides and I got a snapshot with Justin Bieber and he was happy to pose.

Stallone I had been warned that he was an arsehole by someone setting up the premiere of Expendables. So I had a poster ready to sign and he stopped at the guy to my left and then kept walking. I was yelling out at him "Come on Sly! Please! One more! Please man I've been here all day, come on man!" - he ignored, then stopped, then turned back and signed it. I reached the humanity inside of him! I'm really glad he did otherwise I would probably hate him for life. Dolph had signed it too and he was great. I yelled "are we having fun yet!" and he thought that was funny. Looking at his credits, he hadn't done a big premiere in YEARS so he was really enjoying it. The Expendables premiere in Los Angeles was one of the biggest turnouts ever.

reply

How much did Bieber pay you to pose with him?
That's the only way there would be a picture of him and me together.

reply

Can I have a soda please! Diet Pepsi or a Tab will do. Names Ed. Ed Harley.
