because one version(film/art) is describing a time in a young person's life, the other is purely sexual gratification by sick individuals
I agree that it's "art", but also remember that the aforementioned sick individuals will get their disgusting jollies anywhere they can find them. Way back when, pedos use to become aroused looking at the baby Coppertone ad (true story).

I just finished watching "All I Want for Christmas" which came out in 1991. She looked really young and I was thinking how could she be 18 in American Beauty which was only 8 years after that film. But now that I find out she wasn't 18, that explains it.

I generally hate nudity in films. I feel like they think the audience is stupid and are throwing in boobs to keep us dudes interested.

It's definitely a gimmick for some movies and shows. Other times, it's appropriate. This is why I never watched GOT, Westworld, or a few other recent shows.
