Latest SNL appearance

Was it in bad taste to have Baldwin on like nothing ever happened? Are we just supposed to forget what his negligence caused?

Fury as Alec Baldwin makes his SNL comeback after fatal shooting of Rust cinematographer: 'So out of touch'

His appearance caused a mixed reaction from fans - many taking issue with it, claiming the skit cast the returning star in a favorable light.

'Why is Alec Baldwin being allowed on SNL? He shot and killed someone on a movie set,' one Twitter user wrote, citing 'safety compromises' that led to the fatal shooting of Hutchins on the set of Baldwin's film Rust in October 2021.

'Omg, an actual murderer jokingly talking about murder on #snl,' sniped someone else.

'Thanks for convincing the world how moronic and out of touch you are.'

'We know that Alec Baldwin shot and killed someone, right?' added another, years after the 30 Rock actor came under scrutiny for being the one who fired the gun.

After a sketch that saw Baldwin and Rudolph relentlessly mock Harris's 27-minute interview, some similarly slammed the appearance as insensitive.

'Even if it was an accident, that person is dead. Her family and friends will never see her alive EVER again. Alec Baldwin should show some respect by not showing his face on TV let alone #SNL ever again,' another person said.

Others rushed to his defense - despite the fact the case against him was dismissed solely due to prosecutors' mishandling of evidence.

'I’m sorry people can’t seem to grasp the fact that Alec Baldwin has moved on from his troubles, and just continued to just be the man that he is today- one with a huge heart for so many out there, and his family,' one person said.

'Quit b****ing about him coming back to the #SNL spotlight.'

In the past, Baldwin has drawn backlash for his over-the-top rendition of Donald Trump, which he elected to neglect during this outing.

yeah it was, but this is liberals we are talking about. he killed a person and no one really seems to care. but if you sexually harass a woman you will go to jail for 40 years. makes no sense.

Yep and it wasn't just driving a car off a bridge and leaving the woman to drown this time. It was straight up pointing a gun at the poor woman and shooting. Even if they don't consider it murder which it was, he still took the protocols of the business and threw them out the window which resulted in the death. Now he's on SNL playing a man whose father was shot to death by a maniac, crazy.
