It was a an accident.
So it'll take time to work out if he's guilty of negligence or manslaughter and then will be charged if appropriate.

Alec made it political when he mocked and belittled the President of the United States for 4 years. he is just lucky he is a well know liberal figure, otherwise the media and other celebrities would be roasting him for killing a innocent person.
a black democrat killed 6 people just last week and there is no outrage or riots. the media has gone totally silent.
Kyle defended himself against people that were trying to kill him and the media has gone bonkers. why? because he is a republican.

What's protecting him so far is rich-person privilege. The DA in the hinterlands of New Mexico isn't going to file charges in a high-profile case, against a person who can afford top lawyers, unless they're absolutely sure their case is airtight. It may be weeks more, or months, before the DA's office decides whether to file charges at all.
Because no DA or prosecutor wants to be the new Marcia Clark, famous for losing a case against someone who could afford a Dream Team of expensive lawyers.

shareThe biggest reason isn't that he is white or liberal. The biggest factor is the New Mexico government's fear that filing charges might impact the state's ability to get more films made in the state in the future. If you followed what happened after the death, one of the first things that happened was the legislature started meeting. to discuss how this was going to impact their state's burgeoning film industry. So really the biggest reason is that the state wants to avoid scaring off future movie production in the state.
If Baldwin had been at a friends house playing with a gun and killed someone he would have already been arrested regardless of his color or politics, but because it happened on a film set that is what has kept him out of jail.

shareRittenhouse was lucky as the liberal government did all they could to convict him for defending himself. Baldwin's case is nothing like Rittenhouse... I mean Rittenhouse freely admitted he shot the people and it was simply a matter of letting jury decide if it was justified or not, the ridiculous government of New Mexico isn't even putting Baldwin on trial for a jury to decide on, which is what should happen. Hell Baldwin isn't even admitting he killed the woman he keeps trying to pretend it was someone else's fault even though it is clear that he pointed a gun and pulled the trigger firing it and killing the woman... EVEN if the person handing him the gun had loaded it with live ammo, had then told Baldwin it was unloaded it still doesn't excuse Baldwin from pointing a gun and firing at someone because doing so is illegal even if the gun was unloaded. Hell the script didn't even call for him pulling a trigger during the scene.
