Murderer!
And no charges filed because he's a rich celebrity
shareJust like John Landis got off
shareI thought liberals like Alec were "anti-gun"? Oh, I guess in the name of movie profits, it's OK. (Until someone loses an eye, or in this case, their life).
shareWhat's the point when it's an accident? Seriously?
shareOne victim shot with a slow-firing single-action 19th century firearm is an accident. TWO victims shot by a slow-firing single-action 19th century firearm is highly suspicious.

His lifetime of arrogance - I know better than those walkout union gun "experts" - finally caught up with him.
He went cheap on the production. But to hear about potential gun safety issues and to then not personally watch as the gun was loaded and to then shoot it so carelessly is moronic on a personal level. And the poor woman paid for his narcissism with her life

No charges will be filed because he didn't murder anyone.
I think Alec Baldwin is a complete douch canoe but he didn't commit murder.
Murder = the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by anothershare
Just to be pedantic... Remove the word premeditated. Murder can be unpremeditated, even a result of reckless accident. Probably nothing to do with this case anyway.
shareThe very definition of murder is premeditated. Can't remove the word just to make the crime fit your agenda.
Alec Baldwin might or might not be culpable but he didn't murder anyone.
Have you ever heard of the degrees applied to murder in the law? As I am lazy, I will copy from another page:
FIRST DEGREE MURDER
Any intentional murder that is willful and premeditated with malice aforethought. Felony murder, a charge that may be filed against a defendant who is involved in a dangerous crime where a death results from the crime,[16] is typically first-degree.[17]
SECOND DEGREE MURDER
Any intentional murder with malice aforethought, but is not premeditated or planned.[18]
VOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER
Sometimes called a crime of passion murder, is any intentional killing that involves no prior intent to kill, and which was committed under such circumstances that would "cause a reasonable person to become emotionally or mentally disturbed". Both this and second-degree murder are committed on the spot under a spur-of-the-moment choice, but the two differ in the magnitude of the circumstances surrounding the crime. For example, a bar fight that results in death would ordinarily constitute second-degree murder. If that same bar fight stemmed from a discovery of infidelity, however, it may be voluntary manslaughter.[19]
INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER
A killing that stems from a lack of intention to cause death but involving an intentional or negligent act leading to death. A drunk drivingārelated death is typically involuntary manslaughter (see also vehicular homicide, causing death by dangerous driving, gross negligence manslaughter and causing death by criminal negligence for international equivalents). Note that the "unintentional" element here refers to the lack of intent to bring about the death. All three crimes above feature an intent to kill, whereas involuntary manslaughter is "unintentional", because the killer did not intend for a death to result from their intentional actions. If there is a presence of intention it relates only to the intent to cause a violent act which brings about the death, but not an intention to bring about the death
As i said not murder. The first 2 show that.
First Degree Murder = Intentional murder which it wasn't
Second Degree Murder = Intentional murder which it wasn't
Thankyou for proving my point
Well, hell... I wasn't arguing that point. Just noting that premeditation i specifically NOT required for second degree murder and thus is not a required part of the definition of murder. This case looks like death by misadventure, pure and simple. Of course, it is possible that the loaded weapon was provided by someone who is guilty of something, from intentionally putting a deadly weapon in the hand of an unknowing person to some form of gross negligence.
shareI wasn't arguing that point
SECOND DEGREE MURDER
Any intentional murder with malice aforethought
This case looks like death by misadventure, pure and simple
Look up the word pedant.
Examine the following sentence of legal definition.
SECOND DEGREE MURDER
Any intentional murder with malice aforethought, but is not premeditated or planned.
Feel free to quibble on colloquial definitions, but malice aforethought, in this context, is referring to intent to harm, not intent to kill.
And again... pedant.
