Is she concidered a legend now?

She has been around for 45 years in the film industry and has had 2 oscar nominations. She has woerked with some pretty big names too like Jack Nicholson, Elvis Presley, John Wayne, Jack Lemmon & Walter Mathatew. Not to mention is a great beauty.

Well, I guess so. What she lacks is her own 'Grapes of Wrath' (to use an allegory), a lead performance in a classic dramatic film, her best roles are either in obscure ones (Joseph Andrews, 1977), television (Who will love my children, 1983), or supporting (Carnal Knowledge, 1971), or in films whose quality is debated (Tommy, 1975). Comparing her abilities (act, sing, dance), her heartbreaker looks (on par with that of Welch, Monroe, Hayworth, Kelly, Wood, Loren) and her popularity in the 60s (TOP 10 box office star in 1964) with her position nowadays, I can see that somehow, someday, something went wrong along the way. Maybe it was turning down Cat Ballou and Bonnie and Clyde, maybe it was choosing to play second fiddle to John Wayne in a old-fashioned laughable western after being Oscar-nominated. I don't know, but in discussions about classic sex symbols she's often ignored, even though she should be mentioned. But I think she's a legend. Don't know if others agree.

For me, she's a legend. Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you Ms. Ann-Margret and your family. God bless. Same to all of you.

This woman is definitely a legend in my book.
The reasons:

1. She has remained faithfully married and devoted to (in sickness and in
health) the same man for 41 years. How many current Hollywood A-listers
will be able to say that after 40 years?
2. Yes, she was (and still is) a beautiful sexy woman. But, she has shown us
all that she is so much more than that. Early in her career she began to
to take on roles that didn't just rely on her looks. In later years she
matured into a fine character actress (portraying Halle Berry's white
grandmother in the mini-series "Queen," and portraying Pamela Harriman in
a made-for television biopic).
3. Her near-fatal fall in Las Vegas in 1972. She took a "lickin" and is
definitely still "tickin" to quote the Timex watch ads.
4. Her husband Roger managed the financial side of her career, but when he
fell ill, she nursed him back to (semi) health and learned how to manage
finances.
5. In what some would consider a controversial ad promoting a particular
brand of fur coats, the ad reads "What Becomes a Legend Most?"

Is this woman a Show Business Legend? Without a doubt.
