Sick of seeing his smug, squinty, wannabe debonair face everywhere...
Huge ego on this guy.

shareMaybe that's his face.
shareHis head is HUGE. Last night when he presented an award with Sienna Miller and Zoe Saldana it was very noticeable. Most of his height comes from his super-long head.

Truth be told, I am neither a fan of his, nor do I dislike him (as I do some stars). Therefore I am unbiased. I honestly think that, in spite of the fact that there are men with broader shoulders, his head is not strikingly disproportionate in size to his upper body. One COULD argue, however, that he has an inflated ego, since he once stated that, erect, his penis was nine inches in length. So that "head" (unless he was exaggerating) is probably pretty big! That statement could easily lend itself to a crack about his personality in general, since I think that it is tacky to discuss the size of one's manhood; however, consider Jon Hamm's habit of going commando and clearly flaunting his endowment, which is worse.
As for Hamm, he is a deplorable excuse for a human being, given what he did in his college years, torturing a pledge in his fraternity to what can truly be called a brutally sadistic degree. Here is a link to one article about the incident (although most people have heard of it by now):

No one has ever contested that this incident did indeed occur; and, for those who say that "we" all did things we regret when in college or university, sure, I agree; I got drunk WAY too many times; however, by the age of twenty or so, no person without a sociopathic streak (and a damn strong one) could EVER have done what he did. I am not saying that Hamm is presently a danger to society in general (instead, his behaviour seems self-destructive); but as a pre-adolescent (and well before), if told about such an incident, I (as well as most children) would have thought that what he did was "mean" -- to use an appropriately simple adjective. What he did WELL exceeds the designation of "a prank."
So, who is the better human being: Hamm or Affleck: the latter. Who is the better actor: that's up to individual tastes. I will not deny that Hamm is an excellent actor; but I think that Ben has tackled some roles quite well. Like I initially stated, I am not a fan of Ben Affleck; I simply think that he has been bashed to an excessive extent. As for looks, I would say that he has nice facial features and is a very good-looking man, but I would not have left as attractive a woman as Jennifer Lopez (although I don't know anything about her "maintenance" level).
Quite a digression on my part, but it's been a slow Thursday.
Yeah, but. No one was talking about Jon Hamm at all before you said that.
shareI mean, Jon Hamm is an award-winning actor. He's definitely well ahead of Ben Affleck in that regard. Ben is however likely to be nominated for a Razzie this year! Hope he wins!
Both wear bad toupees and both have massive egos.
I never denied that Jon Hamm is a very good actor, but awards are not necessarily indicative of talent. I realize that it was a Golden Globe which Hamm won, but with respect to the Academy Awards, for example, in any one year, there might be as many as four GREAT performances, but a maximum of only two can win. Thus they inevitably have limited significance, as more than one actor has observed (including George C. Scott, who actually won the Best Actor Oscar, for "Patton," released in 1970). The phenomenal actress Barbara Stanwyck never won an Oscar, for example, in spite of amazing performances in "Double Indemnity" (1944) and "Sorry, Wrong Number" (1948), the latter being one of my favourite films. She was awarded an honorary Oscar shortly before her death. Ray Harryhausen, a special effects pioneer, also never won an Oscar. Tom Hanks presented him with an honorary Oscar decades after he should have gotten one (most notably, for "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad," released in 1958). (Obviously, I am a classic film buff, although I have films released as late as 2010 in my collection of DVDs and Blu-ray discs). Having made my observation about awards, if Ben Affleck wins the Razzie this year, I could care a less.
Have a good weekend!
Jon Hamm won an Emmy for his work in Mad Men. He was up against the likes of Kevin Spacey and Liev Schreiber. As for awards themselves having "limited significance" (in your opinion) well then, that has to be applied to Affleck as well. The Oscars that he has don't mean that much? I think he'd disagree.
