A 47 Year Old Woman Having a Baby?

Okay ever since I've seen the trailers for this movie, it truly has been bothering me.

I like Renee, glad she's back on the big screen, been waiting for her return, but this??

Come on. I see it's getting charming reviews but I just can't buy it, I can't. She's 47 years old and she looks every minute of it, that is not a knock at her, nothing wrong with looking your age, so it just looks off to me that a woman of her age would not only be pregnant but not know who the father is.

I'm not sure how old they're trying to sell her in the movie, but if it's anything under 42, that's not going to work either and that's pushing it. I thought she looked 50 in the movie trailers, but she looks younger in her interviews but not by much.

So I'll be skipping this one....I wish if they were going to bring back Bridget Jones, it was something more realistic, this seems so far fetched. :(

Glad to see she has other projects on the horizon though.

Renee isn't having a baby, her character is. I haven't seen the movie yet but I've heard her character is closer to 40.

She portrays 43 year old Bridget Jones in the movie.

Yeah not buying she's 43 in the movie but still a 43 year old woman who doesn't know who the father of her child is? Sounds not so much like my kind of movie.

Her new project with Keanu Reeves, I'll be seeing asap. That looks great!

Sorry you missed it I liked the move a lot. A woman at our church is pregnant at 44 and she looks every bit her age. Not sure what you mean by that. but I hate how some movies have to make the average man or woman in a film look 10 years younger than the age the play. And OMG why do films always have the 40, 50, even 60 year old average Joe in a film with a young hot woman. Soooo unrealistic.

I think you're missing the OP's point It's not just that zellweger is old and looks it, (so Bridgette is old by default, sorry but you can't fool mother nature), but also that Bridgette doesn't know who her baby daddy is! Does the lady at your church know who she got pregnant by? because after a certain age, that kind of irresponsibility is looked down on/unless the mother to be is mentally retarded or was raped.

Thank you, yes that's what I meant, that Bridgette, played by Renee', didn't know who her baby's father was at her age, what a concept. I'm sorry but I'm not into that, she seemed like such a likeable character too.

Renee looks like she's 50 in the movie although she has had some work done lately, I see people are knocking her for it, I don't find anything wrong with it, she looks fine to me either way. Again, I'll be seeing the new Keanu/Renee law thriller.
