I wonder when people forst started to notice…
That he was losing it…
shareAbout 2010 I guess
shareI have no idea when it was, but I remember Bruce was doing one of his infamous appearances on Late Show with Letterman and Dave gave Bruce this weird ass look cause Bruce was being even weirder than usual and he actually looked concerned. I just assumed he was drunk as hell and high on whatever. But looking back I think maybe Dave knew he was off.
share“forst”?
Forget Willis.
I’m starting to worry about you.
Apparently he suffered a head injury in a stunt during the production of ‘Tears of the Sun’, around 2003, which was when he started to notice symptoms.
shareI heard he suffered a head injury on the set of 'Tears Of The Sun' (2004)
But he hid it well, given his (already) laid-back demeanor (so obviously not as noticeable)
Then he was in the UK (on a tv programme called 'The One Show') promoting 'Die Hard 5' (I think?) and his appearance was decidedly 'off' (slurred speech and pregnant pauses) which even the show's hosts picked up on. Bruce put it down to Jetlag.
The public bought it.
Then the glut of Straight-to-Video movies followed (but as previously mentioned, Willis even in his heyday was always a laidback performer, so it just looked like laziness on his part) and it didn't help that the likes of Nicolas Cage were also churing out similar styled movies (with the same regularity)
But he seemed fine (if a little restrained) in stuff like the 'Red" and "Expendable" franchise (this may explain why he wanted a million dollars a day for 'Expendables 3'..which lead to his fallout with Stallone) But it was obvious (now in retrospect) that he was trying to stockpile money,
I have a blog dedicated to 'Straight-to-DVD' movies and even I (in several reviews) put it down to laziness on Willis' part.
But around 2017 onwards, even his 'line recital' seemed off.
I'm sure his family knew years earlier (and kept it quiet)
