And who would he play? Maybe the Beyonder in the MCU or the Spectre in the DCU or Mother's Milk's dad on the Boys.

These days almost everyone is in "that crap". Or Star Wars or some other big franchise. Better Marvel than Mission Impossible or The Fast and the Furious.

Seriously respected, great actors have done it (Keaton, Bale, Caine, Oldman, Phoenix, Pattinson, to name just a few on the DC side). It's not just muscleheads and pretty-boys. I wouldn't rule it out.
