Was She wanting to be known as an action star?

It seems like Uma Thurman really wants to market herself as an action star based on some of her role choices over the years:

Pulp Fiction
Batman & Robin
The Avengers
Paycheck
Kill Bill Vol. 1
Kill Bill Vol. 2
My Super Ex-Girlfriend

Was she trying to become a big action star? The Kill Bill movies are still remembered well but the others not as much.

Yes. For some reason, the action role became a cult fetish for Milla Jovovich and her type.

Yeah, I actually would like to have seen her in more big female action roles, something along the lines of Ghost in Shell or Aeon Flux.

Pulp Fiction "not so much remembered"??? And it isn't an action film... at least not in the conventional description of the genre.

Yeah Pulp fiction is not an action movie. I would like to see Tarantino do a straight up action flick though.
