There has been a very noticeable decline in the quality of his movies starting with Django and I think it is in great part due to the fact that his long time editor die and is no longer working on his films (last movie she edited for him was Inglorious). His movies have been lacking that touch that made his films so much better before.

I didn't care for Django Unchained or The Hateful Eight. But I really liked Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Sally Menke's absence has definitely been felt, and it's clear just how much her abilities pushed his films to the level they were. Everything was sharp and stylized just right. Now everything is bloated and indulgent. The recent films aren't bad, but they certainly aren't great, and they seem to just be getting worse imo. Maybe his next film really should be his last.
