Killed his career?

You can survive lots of scandals in Hollywood but violence caught on camera? I don't know...

reply

Doubt it. America doesn’t give a fuck about black on black crime.

reply

Fuck off with your right wing agenda.

reply

Right wing agenda? omg lol you’re a bright one.

reply

How is black on black crime a right wing agenda?

reply

No, but this will always be brought up.

reply

Do we know for sure that this incident wasn’t scripted

You never know, I remember in 2009 people felt the Eminem / Bruno segment was real. They sometimes try to make the whole segment seem real to get people talking

People are talking about both of them and the Oscars. These sort of stunts can get them in the limelight and draw ratings to future Oscar events

reply

I don't think so.

reply

Oh please, oh please, let Rock press charges!!!!!

But he won't dare, in Hollywood a B-lister doesn't make an enemy of an A-lister, no matter what they've done.

reply

Ok, that speech single-handedly saved salvaged his career.

He's earned a permanent place on my shit list, and I'm an old Leftie!

That was "punching down", an A-lister slapping the shit out of a B-lister, because he knew damn well that the B-lister would never DARE do anything about it, because he's not in a position to make an enemy of an A-lister. Smith wouldn't dare do that to a studio head or a top suit at Disney, but he feels entitled to slap the shit out of Chris Rock, someone who isn't in a position to fight back, press charges, or even complain to the public. It was a public abuse of power, something that means you're on my shit list for life.
