Van Damm and Seagal?

Now I was born in the early 80's and have grown up with these guys and like them both (though I lean towards Van Damm, who is slightly less pretentious and had a better acting ability than Seagal). The two men had both made it huge during the same exact time frame, which I think is really something especially considering they were both real martial artists and had completely different looks, style, background, and fighting styles. But now when I look back, I'm surprised that Hollywood, say by the mid 90's, never got the two in a picture together, especially one that pitted them against each other! What a box office draw that would have been!

How come this never happened? I mean, I'm beginning to hear that Seagal really did not like Van Damm; is this true? And if so, did that have anything to do with it?

could be true

While all this is true, I think I have a few answers or explanations.

1) They were rivals who both had hits and made it at the same time and staring in a movie together would break that rivalry (look how long it took to get Stallone and Schwarzenegger in a movie together).

2) Both hated each other and most likely did not want to be anywhere close to the other.

3) Each had massive egos. I guarantee if a movie was to secure both actors it would never get made because each actor would try to outshine the other and would refused to be defeated by the other.

Who would win?

Not in a fight, but a 69er in which the first to cum dies?
