Worse move MM made.

I think casting Justin Timberlake in Guru is what really killed the film. Beside the feel that his character was a mix of Austin, Dr. Evil, and Shrek, the casting of Timberlake killed the movie. Guru was targeting the same 18-34 male demographics that Myers prior films targeted. This is the same group of male that spent the last decade hating Timberlake and his boy band brethern.

who came up with fat basterd in Austin Powers

Fat Bastard was great, Goldmember sucked. Fat Bastard played into the market that Spy Who Shagged Me was going for.

Guru was a financial disaster for numerous reasons. Mike Myers has been out of ideas for over a decade now. Somehow he's been able to rehash the same material to his audience and get away with it, up until Guru that is. I was glad he disappeared into voice work for 5 years. If we're lucky at all, after Shrek has run it's course, he will go far far away and live a happy life with his millions of dollars and particular brand of unfunny, obnoxious behavior.

His worst film? Inglorious Bastards; not his role however, but the rest of that "film". I preferred Love Guru to that schlock.

You, friend, are insane.
