I've never watched her on the view, actually.....

On that note, I think she's one of the most underrated and hopelessly talented people I've ever seen on-screen.

I've been aware of a lot of the backlashing towards her due to her appearances on the view here and I'll say it's the kind of place where people can really say things to get themselves hated. Since I don't like stupid talk shows like that anyway nor am I ever up when it's on, I will not pay attention to that.

The color purple, the sister act movies, all those 80s and 90s movies where she totally was under-appreciated, I love her work. Not to mention her stand up, that comic relief thing she did with Billy Crystal and Robin Williams in the early 90s. That was all fantastic. I really wish she would go back to performing rather than have subjected herself into being on that crappy show.

I also love her on Star Trek: The Next Generation as Guinan.

Whoopi, please come back to performing! You're way above that show!

....... Well, at least to me. Seems like you've made enemies out of a lot of people who have seen you on it for awhile. I still love ya though!

I wouldn't say she was under-appreciated in those movies, cause I just found out that by 1992, she had become the highest paid actress ever, up to that time. Quite an amazing thing that most probably don't know.

she hates you

Why would you even say such a thing?!

I watched "The View" twice and loved it both times. Guess why? The mute button was on xD

She was a consistent presence in the 80's and 90's and enjoyable. The politics B.S. has gotten stale. Honestly, any actor talking politics should be ignored out of existence. This goes for "news" roundtables too.

She once said she didn't want to be known as an African-American or Black-American or the latest incarnation thereof. She just wanted to be known as an "American." As that, she said, she had all the rights that any other American was entitled to.

I bet you think I'm making that up, but I'm not. The quote is so old she still had a great figure. If you think she never did, watch the Moonlighting episode called "Camille."
