Anything to keep money out of Hollywood’s hands. Fortunately there hasn’t been a thing released in the last 10 years that needed to be seen.

Cats was essential viewing mate. You're missing out.

I think this should just be put to bed. Lethal Weapon is Riggs and Murtaugh. I love all 4 of the movies, but I don't really want new cops. Butters in 4 was not the highlight. Also, sequels that are almost 25 years in the making are rarely good.

Normally, I'd agree with much of what you have said. However, if Mel is involved...there's no way it will be bad.
He's just too good at what he does, both acting and directing. If Mel's onboard, and he can get the rest of the OG's, it's definitely going to be good. And I like that this will be a tribute to Richard Donner, done in his honor. LW was his baby.

The buddy/cop action flick is all but a dead genre. If anyone can bring it back....resurrect it as the big summer blockbuster event those movies used to be.........if only for one last time, it's Mel. And it will be cool to see him in that mode again, doing what he has always done best.
