Ridiculous. Why should we believe a thief like Winona Ryder? It's his word vs. hers.

reply

Since he probably cost more than all the other actors on the film put together, why not take the excuse to get rid of him?

The only reason they hire name actors to do voice work for animated films is so they can go out and publicize the film when it's released, anyway. Someone who attracts bad publicity isn't wort a cent!

Nobody's gonna care about a Chicken Run sequel without the main voice actor.

Actually, Julia Sawalla was the main voice actor, Gibson had a supporting role.

Gibson was really hired to be a name on the marquee and to do a million interviews and talk shows before the film's release, any no-name voice actor could have done the rooster's voice better. But if Gibson's presence isn't going to appeal to the public, there's no reason to pay him a cent. And BTW I'm surprised it's taken this long to ease Gibson out of the project, he's been controversial for a long time, and people like me having been looking at him and thinking "Ick, creepy guy" for ages now.

Their loss.

LOL!!! The world is run by religious fanatics.

Gibson is just another person who thinks his religion is true while everyone else's is false.

None of them can fathom that they are all false.

Let's make it clear he wasn't dumped. You can't be dumped from a project you haven't even agreed to take part in.

He has plenty in the pipeline. Not appearing in a made-for-Netflix animated sequel is hardly going to cripple him at this stage. This is a bit of a non-story. "Mel Gibson can be a tool". Tell us something we don't know, Winona.

Oof! Now theres a classic The Sun headline

reply

Dont think he was the main one in the first. Yes, his name help sell the movie. But did they actually need him?

reply

F Winona's big brown beaver.
