I thought similar myself and while the looks were one of intently listening, it also appeared to be a stern look on their faces and not just Gibson and Vaughn. I guess they were wondering where she was going with it, or attempting to make "reasonable" or grounded sense of what she was conveying. There is no fool like an old fool and Streep certainly proved this point well, if anything.
Don't eat the whole ones! Those are for the guests. 🍪
