He's completely average in everything I've seen him in.

Sommersby
Intersection
The Runaway Bride
The Mothman Prophecies
Unfaithful

He's a solid B-lister. He seems like the guy they get when producers don't have the money or clout to sign up an A-lister.

Pretty much. If you want an actor who is a big enough name who won't be terrible, he's your guy.

Actually The Mothman Prophecies.

It's vaguely based on a book of the same name. It's what I would call "speculative non-fiction"... It's creepy in its own way if you want a good read.
