Tom needs to play a villain again

and not the stereotypical type either. His role as Vincent in "Collateral" was very layered and multi-dimensional but you knew he was a doomed soul. Tom's also good in dramas as well, but I'd like to see him tackle a tragic and flawed character.

Agreed. He was pretty brilliant in Collateral, and it was a bold move to go against type. Also, really smart to work with Michael Mann. I wish those two would team up again, but I imagine Michael Mann is at least semi-retired.

Collateral is a very under-appreciated film.

Yup. Collateral was one of his best performances. I think his top (for me) was TJ Mackie in Magnolia, which was also kind of against type and sleazy. Maybe not a "villain", but still nasty.

Good or bad, I'd like to see him do more dramas, or even comedies. He's just pounding out action movie upon action movie, and he's got this great range (that people don't give him credit for), and I'd love to see a few more brilliant performances from him.

His last non-action movie was Rock of Ages in 2012, then you've got to go back to 2008 for Tropic Thunder.

He already does. Don’t wear a mask in front of him and you’ll see what kind of a bitchy liberal villain he can be.

Christopher Nolan would work wonders with him.
