RIP Alex Trebek...Passes One Week After Jeopardy Foe Sean Connery

...and after a very valiant fight against pancreatic cancer, which usually claims a person a lot quicker than it got Trebek.

I suppose after a "decent interval," Will Ferrell(Trebek) and Darrell Hammond(Connery) might re-unite to do a respectful "Celebrity Jeopardy" skit on SNL.

In an alternate universe Oliver Reed stars in The Name of the Rose, The Untouchables, Red October and becomes Indy's dad... and Sean Connery shows up in a drunken, disheveled state on the David Letterman Show.

It's from a Saturday Night Live sketch, celebrity Jeopardy. Connery would give Trebek a hard time.

I had a friend years ago who was diagnosed with cancer ( I can't remember what kind) shortly after retiring and then died 6 months later.

I had another friend years after that who had been a lifelong smoker, contracted lung cancer and then totally amazed me when he continued to live for 10 years after the diagnosis.

Go figure.
