I wonder if he regrets going public on Biden's health.

Even though polls weren't looking good for him, we will never know for sure that Biden would have lost.

Democrats were in a pickle of their own making, so it's hard to blame it on Clooney. Had Biden stayed in the race, Trump would have won anyway. Clooney was trying to help push Biden out and his efforts (along with other Democrats) worked. I don't believe people who say that Democrats would have been better off if Biden had stayed in the race.

reply

Blame Clooney of what? Biden only stepped down because he showed clear cognitive deterioration in the debate, even then he tried to remain a candidate with "family support" narrative to the press, democrat establishment, I think especially Obama, forced him to step down.

Blaming Clooney is kind of lunacy, it is even worse than when Hilary lost the election years ago, even then she did not blame an actor.

This is bad form, why don't they start blaming Santa Claus?

reply

Still, Clooney played a major role with his high profile NYT op-ed that made it safe among party elites to insist that Biden not run for reelection. Before that, Biden and the party were militant that he “just had a bad debate” and would never withdraw. An incumbent President withdrawing from his party’s nomination is incredibly rare. Future historians writing about this remarkable event will certainly include Clooney’s role in starting the ball rolling

reply

It is not like it was published on his blog or social media account, mainstream media decide whose voice can be heard, and I don't think they would have published that open letter without talking to the democrat establishment.

The fact the article was published means the democrat establishment had already decided. I think the article was the dump order, as you said to start the ball rolling.

Though I did not read that article before today, and did not know Clooney was so integrated to the democrat establishment.

reply

I think you are dead on correct fc31. You have a good antenna for the corruption of the powerful elites that want to control the narrative

reply

Thanks, you are very kind.

reply

it was Nancy, not George

reply

He put it out in public the day after the debate that Biden had been the same during the fundraiser before Nancy got involved.

reply

His ad for KaMAla didn't win him any favours, just showed he's a wuss like we all knew anyway.

reply

Fuck this guy. I will always love O'Brother Where Art Thou, though. I'm so disappointed.

But it still worked out in the end, maybe I should be thanking him?

reply

O' Brother has some great music.

reply

He was born with what some women consider a pretty face, and his aunt was a pop music superstar. Otherwise, we'd never even have heard of him.

reply

I don't think there's much doubt that Biden would have lost. The polls were close all along with Harris, but Biden was starting to really sag after that debate.

reply

The polls might not be real. They did try to give people the impression Harris was very popular, poll results were one of the ways to do that.

Though I think Harris was more popular than Biden, especially after that debate.

reply

He would have lost. The poor guy was just getting worse.

Clooney has nothing to regret on that score. He only said what the rest of the country -- outside of those with their heads in the sand -- already were thinking.

What really hurt the party was that even to the end, Kamala was pretending Biden was doing well enough to run the country now. Those of us on the conservative side have been wondering for the last four years who was running the country. Biden wasn't up to it when he took office.

George Clooney is SLAMMED for demanding Joe Biden quit ahead of Donald Trump's election victory

What a past month or so for Clooney, first gets accused of not being a movie star by the most influential director of the modern era , now he gets accused of losing the Democrats the election and plunging the world into Trump 2.0!

...and his "feuding buddy" movie with the arguably more major star Brad Pitt -- "Wolfs" -- loses widespread theatrical release to go straight to Apple TV. Both guys got paid megamillions...but the studio evidently didn't want to risk the cost of theatrical release..and possibly low grosses.

And if your movies aren't playing in movie theaters ...are you a movie star?

It looks like the British were very upset about the US election result.

Probably also the fact they could no longer appoint a governor for US.

reply

He was just taking orders from his deep state handler. He didn't even write that NYT op-ed published under his name.
