What is she tripping on?

Womens wage equality? She seriously has been sheltered in Hollywood because she has no idea what she's talking about. I don't know a single women that doesn't get paid the same if not more than me. Maybe next time she'll choose an actual issue or even better, none. Im so sick of these Hollywood freaks trying to be noble to gain popularity.

What country are you living in? In the good old USA, on the average women still make less than men for the same work, but Ms. Average can't speak out because she'd be out of a job in a hurry. Patricia Arquette can speak up, and good for her.

42% of all statistics are made up on the spot. In order to pass the Lily L Act, lobbyists compared all full time female salaries with all full time male salaries. They did not account for positions and used, either, 30 or 32 hours to qualify as full time. Therefore, because women tend to dominate jobs that don't pay as much and are less risky, and, due to individual choices, tend to work less hours on average (keep in mind, according to the study, a female working 32 hours in an office job is treated as equal to a male working a 40 hour week in a different, statistically more probable, higher paying job), and more women leave the work force early and have more interruptions in their career than men, it is more like comparing apples to oranges. If you want to argue that women are more subject to sexual harassment or might have to rely on looks to advance, that is an argument that I might agree with...However, interesting how so many refused to be outraged over the ultimate in sexual harassment...when the most powerful man in the world used his position to coerce a female into sex...oh wait, that was a private matter and none of our business.

That is incorrect.
1. Marketable degree or liberal arts degree.
2. Senority on the job.
3. Willingness to work longer hours, week-ends.

there is already a law in place for Equal pay. The Equal Pay Act of 1963 signed by John F. Kennedy. Arquette is talking out her ass.

^An article that uses statistics with no research methodology or context whatsoever is meaningless. It's like saying male doctors on average are higher paid than female, without considering that the male doctors are more likely to be surgeons while the female doctors are more likely to be pediatricians.

Men are 20 times more likely to die on the job than women. Why is that never raised as an issue?
