I think many people missed the point of her Oscar speech...

Lot's of people are complaining about her speech for equal pay between men and women, by saying that she makes a TON of money as a Hollywood actress and should therefore not have a say in it. But it seems that you people missed the point about Patricia Arquette's speech. Yes, she might make more money than you if you have a "regular" job. But the point and the truth is that the gender wage gap does indeed exist. That is, when it comes to men and women working the SAME job. So again, she may make more money than most other people, BUT men working in the film industry as actors are making more money than Arquette is. Even if they star in the same amount of films per year. Male doctors still make more than female doctors, male teachers make more than female ones, male librarians make more than females, and so on and so on. THAT was the true point of the speech. It's the issue that men are still making way more money than women for doing the EXACT SAME things, and that is what is truly not fair. And that is what feminist people want to see change. We want BOTH men and women to be equal. That is the point of feminism.

Well, when you are finally approved for gender re-assignment surgery, you may very well be. All the best!

Looking for superiority would make sense considering how much they keep feeling the need to bring up the past and remind everyone how evil men were toward women... despite the death toll and the fact that men worked harder, more physical and dangerous jobs. I mean, god knows. It's so much harder to sit on your ass in the freezing winter, sewing, cooking or cleaning than being outside in sub-zero temperatures, chopping wood to keep everyone warm.

Ever tried to push out a baby? If that's not difficult and dangerous, I don't know what is.

Only middle class women stayed home to cook and clean. Most had to do paid work.

Well take some personal responsibility for the situation you put yourself into then. You don't have to have a baby and it doesn't make you superior over men.

It's so great to hear women get resentful of birthing children. My mom was forced to live in hell for a couple of years like some WW2 vets in those 9 months and those few hours it took to push me out of her womb. You're right. Goddamn. Men have never suffered. They're only dying, treating each other like disposable pieces of meat while the same liberated women (post-suffragette women) they are trying to protect don't actually do enough to bring their boys home. They didn't raise hell for that like they did to get the vote. So, basically, men were the disposable sex and now, I really can't help but feel like we're the most undesirable sex.

In spite of what women want to believe about men and themselves, they still find them desirable and are, and always will be needy for them. Tongue in cheek; but to a gay guy like myself, I don't have any trouble finding many men desirable—even if they have been turned into manginas— and I doubt many men, would want other men to find them desirable either.

Taking car of your home is just as hard as any other job and you don't get paid for it.
