I like the fact a lot of his movies are short.

Starting to work through his filmography. So many breezy little flicks that are 80-95 minutes long.

A nice contrast to having to work through Scorsese's filmography. Some of my favorite movies are long but I do have a preference for shorter ones, especially when I've got a goal in sight with regards to seeing as many movies as I can as soon as possible.

I managed to knock Annie Hall, Manhattan and The Purple Rose of Cairo off my watchlist last night.

Those are all brilliant movies - some of his best work. I, too, like the short run time. Watching Allen's fabulous filmography is a great way to show how you don't need 3 hours to tell a great story.

Of course, I'm also an admirer of plenty of long epics, so I'm not saying it's "bad" to have 3+ hours as a runtime. I'm just saying it can often be done shorter.

Moses Farrow, another adopted kid, says it didn't happen and the Mia coached the younger Dylan—essentially brainwashing her. Fortunately, it didn't stick... you see, since it never happened, the circumstances are bound to change, and they have. I actually think it's Mia that should be fined, lose custody, or do jail time for child abuse. Telling your adopted daughter to imagine and describe being molested by the adoptive father? Essentially out of spite and paranoia. Sick.

I agree. He's able to tell a good story in a short time. He's influenced by Ingmar Bergman who also usually made 90 min movies on average. Shorter running times are also one reason why I like horror as a genre. I can watch two movies in one night that way.

He's made some classics.

Got to separate the art from the artist, like with Brian Singer, Roman Polanski, Max Landis, Harvey Weinstein produced movies, and so on.
