You have a right to feel about him what you like, but at least get the facts straight. Woody and Mia were never married. Soon-Yi wasn't adopted by Woody (her father was Andre Previn). Soon-Yi was 19 or 21, depending on which source.

They seemed to be the typical celebrity couple, living by their own rules, nothing conventional, making movies together, but not exactly making a home for the children.
People are free to live the way they want to. I don't even pretend to understand the "sophisticated" New York lifestyle they led. But something should have told Mia that having a relationship with a man for over a decade and adopting children with him without the benefit of matrimony is a dumb thing to do! Maybe she was fulfilled, but it hardly provided a stable home for her many children. And she tried her best to conceive another child with him.

As food for thoughts, at the end of the day the only couple that worked in the story is the Allen-SoonYi one, even with the big age difference. And it worked when Allen went from the standard Hollywood Star wannabe to a next door quiet woman who is not interested in being in the spotlight. There's a lesson there.

You can say she was 3 years old if that pleases you. The age she was assigned when she went to US makes her 19 when she dated Woody Allen.

I haven't seen any other source in a quick google. So at the end of the day it all comes to the the same: are you willing to believe the Farrows with no other evidence?.
