___And I was just saying this very thing, unfortunately I don't have the 10K it will probably bring to get those golden locks.

Denis,
___Yes, we wholeheartedly agree on Europe for Marilyn, post 62, 63, 64. At least that's what I'd like to believe. Still, I wonder if she'd be strong enough to carry it through? Like any stage proposal, I think she could have done both with wild success providing she had the proper support. If Marilyn had children as an incentive, yes, like Carroll Baker. I don't really see Paula Strasberg with Marilyn again, perhaps Lee on a special project like the cancelled Rain. In any rate, I think she would gave slowed down, and her output lessened to compare with her other slow periods.
___I disagree about Cukor's reputation. After LML, The Chapman Report debacle, SGTG, I think even though he had been offered My Fair Lady, I'm not convinced he would have gotten that 64 Oscar.I don't think he would have looked good to the industry after what he did on SGTG. His days were numbered at any rate. I was somewhat surprised watching the credits on'Love Amongst the Ruins', to see him as director. Along with Katherine Hepburn, Lawrence Oliver, there was about 250 years, still a terrible movie. You can't always overcome a bad script, or a lousy director. And, good actors also have misses occasionally.

If you have £8,500 (or US $ equivalent) you could get her ID card from the time she went to Korea in 1954. That's the value it's liable to bring in by time the auction closes on September 15th. A small card with her photo and fingerprints with the identity of Norma Jeane DiMaggio is expected to fetch that amount of money. I definitely can't afford to be a Marilyn collector.
