She was way ahead of her time
while watching some of her movies from the 50's I can't help but notice how much more different and alluring she is compared to her fellow actresses, who all seem to be much more restrained and formulaic in their on screen performances than she was. I have no doubt that she would be the biggest female star if she would be acting in current modern Hollywood, where emancipated and sensual women rule the the big screen. Maybe that "modern" way of acting and carrying herself led to her premature demise really, since everybody around her seem to be in almost a shock seeing a very sexy and expressive woman not conforming to the rules of the conservative old Hollywood...I really feel bad for her, since she seems like a very driven, ambitious and smart woman, yet for some reason she wasn't really fully appreciated or taken seriously at the time
