I agree with the OP. There have been plenty of beautiful actresses, but Sophia seems in a class all her own: her face is so strikingly beautiful that you're mesmerized by it.

Yes she was...but now.....time and the elements has done her in..leathery skin...and wrinkles...white people have short shelf life when it comes to looking good when aging.

Thanks to her superb bone structure she remains a strikingly beautiful woman. Time has not diminished her classic features.

Sophia wins the award as the most beautiful actress ever. Jean Simmons, Madeleine Carroll, Virna Lisa, Claudia Cardinale, Salma Hayak, Marilyn Monroe, Gene Tierney, Ava Gardner are the other contenders ( and Simmons and Hayak are personal favorites of mine). Sophia also has an acting ability that no one on this list can come close to ( except Jean Simmons).
