Tom Hardy: the next brando

I know this is thrown around with a lot of different actors but I think has the potential to be regarded in the same league. His diversity and ability to portray his characters with incredible realism. He just needs the correct titular roles.

he does need the right roles he does have great potential bit it remains to be seen .He does these lower budgeted indie films its like you don't get to see him at his fullest potential like we did marlon .he has brandos abilities on a basic level but he doesn't have them like brando had them.tom hardy still isnt a house hold name also i dont with theres something there he had .its hard to put into words he was dangerously unpredictable truer too life tom hardy plays to what he thinks his character should be brando just was the character he didnt judge him .plus brandos magnetism is unmatched on the surface it might make sense to compare hardy to brando but.when you go deeper all the comparisons are superficial.

Hmmm I don't agree with that. I see Tom Hardy as the next DeNiro if anything. In terms of changing acting and inspiring actors the way Brando did, I would def say Daniel Day-Lewis is the next or is our Brando of today in that regard.

Hardy is the next Mark Wahlberg or Keanu Reeves. His acting is forced, no charisma, and looks stupid on screen.

Did you post this same thing on Hardy's board? I answered there, where I said he's not that good and is nowhere near the next Brando. Well since then (and after seeing Mad Max) I like him more and he's actually quite good, but he's still far from Brando. The only thing they have in common is they both look similar. Hardy really looks like a young Brando. The next Brando is Michael Fassbender. He's the closest in terms of looks, charisma, acting style, and most importantly talent. The way he really disappears into the minds of his characters is amazing, which is what made Brando a genius. They both totally disappear.

Fassbender even further away from the next brando than tom hardy is fassbender is too wooden he's too technical to rigid he dont remind of a brando who was more naturalistic i know he trys to be like brando but hes too much of a stiff .personally i think hardy is the more naturalistc actor then fassbender but both dont come close to a brando fassbender is a stiff and hardy plays up too the idea of what he thinks the character he is portraying should be .Also another thing with hardy is it seems like he's and actor that is better heard and not seen talking

I ship this! Tom has the same charisma, sex appeal, brilliance and overall likability that Marlon had.

I totally disagree with your assessment of Fassbender. He has far more range than Hardy. He can make a great, believable android and then do a great, believable version of Steve Jobs in two years. That's awesome. I haven't seen Hardy do anything remotely that good.
