Good biography about her

I saw her in one film. It is sad she lets hatred taint her heart, but she really is too old to change.

'I saw her in one film.'

Once seen, never forgotten.

Brigitte Bardot was a natural beauty and an amazing actress.
Plus, she had more in her pretty head than many expected.
For years she was a successful animal rights activist.
Countless stray dogs owe their lives to her.
Now she's old, no longer beautiful and a little grumpy.

Thank you for this interesting docu! ♥
Please note the disclaimer that the YT uploader made a few months later.

28/12/2023 - rectifying a mistake: in the video I made a passing comment in regards to claims about Bardot’s sexuality and the amount of lovers she’s had. This is a claim parroted by many articles and even used as the title of another YouTube video. I believe this originated from Caroline Howe’s article titled 'Brigitte Bardot had 100 lovers — including women — and four husbands, but fame led to despair as she tried to end her life four times and abandoned the only child she ever had, reveals new book.'
....
....
In conclusion, I’m not sure where Howe got her claims regarding Brigitte or the amount of lovers she’s had.

You might be right. I never read she was bi, I have to read her memior. I wonder if the fact about her dad being a fan of Hitler was true. She did come of age when France was a colonial power. Therefore, that would explain her bigoted attitude, albeit sad. Not to mention, her last husband is/ was connected to the Far Right. However, I did read she had deep regrets regarding her cruel attitudes towards her son being born. She is only human. However, I have read in a few sources she did try to kill herself until her parent changed their attitude about Vadim. When he died, I read she was devastated decades later.

Is BB really "bigoted"?
She speaks her mind, betimes too impulsively...and paid for it.
She's more a maverick, who starts almost always when animal welfare is involved.
Her antipathy towards Muslims was aroused by their tradition of animal slaughter.
She thinks it's cruel to cut an animal's throat.
An opinion that can be held, that I personally don't share (compared to 'our' slaughter methods).

It's possible that her father was a Hitler fan.
He came from a Lorraine industrialist family. Lorraine borders Germany and has its own eventful history. Maybe he had German roots.

And yes, she regrets her behaviour towards her son.
"When the film diva gave birth to little Nicolas-Jacques on January 10, 1960, her own world collapsed. She fell into severe depression and even attempted suicide when her baby was only a few months old."
"I'm not a mother, nor do I want to be one."

As for the number of her lovers (yah, it's doubtful she's bi):
"Married four times, she often declared that she had known 17 men during her life: a real feminist revolution for the time. 'I experienced a time when the fate of women was much less funny. To the point that I have the impression that today, we complain about everything and nothing,' she explains. 'Finding that a woman is beautiful will become a crime if this continues. I liked being looked at, and when someone put their hand on my butt, which rarely happened, I found it rather amusing,' concludes the star of 'And God created woman', still as liberated, even at 86 years old."

Certainly she has flaws, but she just seems honest to me.
You said it very nicely:
She is only human.
