But Google the prehistoric cave painting images! OUR great X10,000 grandparents were pretty darned creative😄

I agree, for instance Shakespeare stole virtually all his plots from other, earlier writers. His genius lies in the expansion of those sources, the additions and of course the expression.

You're right, pretty much any "new" idea is barely more than a slightly altered older idea and it has never been any different.
There's nothing in the Bible that isn't a copy of some pagan tradition or even earlier religions.
Karl Marx hasn't written anything on his own, he has only accumulated things others have written and summarized them.
When capitalism came up in England, pretty much all of Europe has (illegally) copied from England, later on the US has copied from Europe and relatively recently the Chinese have copied from the western world.

Copyrights have existed only in theory, in practical application there is no such thing.
