Being retired there is no "restarting work" for me, it's more like getting back to routine stuff that got postponed during the last week in december.
Restarting work (as far as you can call it that) was for me 2 days ago when I brought my car to the workshop for annual maintenance and made an appointment with the car insurance for renewal of my contract.

I’ll retire in three years and two months, then I’ll get some sort of easy ‘walking around money’ job. I know that if I don’t I’ll be cracking open beers at 9 AM 😄
Went back to work the next day. I'm only off on the actual holiday.

It’s always rough right after a nice long break to go back in but the bank has less mercy than the Mafia and I need my house and vehicles!
I work 5 days a week, sometimes 6 no matter what the Holiday or event is, even when the University is closed
