Is there a valuable life lesson you learnt the last while ?

I have.
I learnt that if you have a dream, that you really want to achieve, and you have to do certain things that you don't really want to do, in order to achieve that dream, do it, with no excuses.

Get it done, and your dream will be one step closer.

The biggest lesson I learned in life was realizing that you have to know precisely what you want, you should even write down a detailed list of what that all is, no matter how far fetched your dreams are.
Most people have only vague ideas in mind of what they want, like "I want a long term relationship" or "I want a better job", but without a precise definition of details they miss the opportunity when it comes along, while people who have written down and memorized the whole list of details will much more likely see the opportunity and take it when it comes up.

That is good.

Not really, the biggest lessons are all pretty mundane tbh:
My wife and children deserve my loyalty and protection, the home should be well provisioned and orderly and an angry territorial dog is good to keep around.

reply

My life lesson? Okay... It's easier to receive forgiviness than it is to receive permission.

reply

Oh, you are a real rascal😄

Life is better with a cat.

It's okay to let people go. If they're incompatible with your lifestyle, disruptive to your peace and an obstacle to your happiness, no matter what current title they hold in your life or how much you've invested in the relationship, let them go.

reply

Absolutely agree.

Cool.

If she's a real mean 'mouser' I agree!

Eating only meat is much more satisfying that I expected.

I don't see how people have a hard time eating carnivore.

reply

Sometimes the light switch of life gets turned off without a dimmer.

reply

No. Probably a better question for fellow GENX'rs - are there any life lessons left?

By this time, at this age, if you are from GENX, you should have a full handle on exactly what you are doing.

Plus....

Exactly what makes you happy

Exactly how to conduct yourself in this world.

You don't know any of this when you're 25. ALong the way, the one good thing that comes with aging occurs, valuable experience, valuable lessons.

Eventually it gets to the point there aren't many life lessons left.
