I rarely ever go now, and do most shopping online on Amazon.
I was just at Macy's in New York City last week and it was jam-packed. The introvert in me couldn't handle all that.

I love malls. I love window shopping (and actual shopping). I enjoy just walking around, maybe getting something to eat at the food court. I probably go once or twice a month, though there might be a stretch of a few months where I don't go at all. I also shop online.

The last time I went to a mall it was dead. Everyone buys online. But I wish we could buy things up close and personal with more accountability from the shop owner. I've run into multiple difficulties returning bad products on Amazon.

I find with clothing, it's pretty easy to return and exchange online. Although, it would be easier to try them out at the store obviously.

I needed an AM/FM radio for construction sites. You can't find them in stores anymore. I ordered one. It was a piece of crap with no reception. So I ordered a more expensive one from Amazon and received it. It doesn't have AM but that was never noted in the description. I like to buy a product and know what I'm getting at that time. All this repackaging and remailing is a hassle.
shareI will be going to the mall in a few minutes here. I do fear that they will all be gone in a year or two. While the convenience of online shopping is great, I really prefer in person shopping. I really prefer local markets as I really like to support people over corporations, and I really don't like supporting Bezos.
