Movies you never actually watched but feel like you seen a million times

shareWhen I was in college, I'd spend a lot of time in the student lounge playing pool and ping pong. For some reason, they would play American Pie 2 on the TV in the room constantly. Maybe 3 times a week. I've never seen it from beginning to end, but I've seen so many random bits and parts that I've probably seen the film 3 times.
shareOh, I was thinking about this very subject just the other day. Someone asked me recently if I'd seen Home Alone and I literally scoffed and said 'Yeah, of course I've seen Home Alone... oh, no, wait, I haven't actually.'
I'm also not sure whether or not I've seen Raiders of the Lost Ark. I probably have. I've definitely seen Temple of Doom... but I might just feel like I've seen Raiders.
There are probably a few others. They'd be movies that you watch when you're a kid. And if you happen not to have seen them when you were a kid, there's no point whatsoever in watching them as an adult... but they're just in the pop culture so you feel you've seen them anyway.
*Shrug*
Same with me on Home Alone. It's been on multiple times in the background in the room where I was but I don't think I've ever sat down and watched the whole thing start to finish.

Yeah, I've seen bits of Home Alone. And I know what happens in Home Alone. So if I sat and watched Home Alone right now, I would expect precisely zero surprises. So I totally feel like I've seen it. And I probably never will because I feel like I have anyway.
Weird how that happens.
