Just started watching Gladiator...

...for our Thanksgiving evening entertainment. Feel free to join in or leave a comment about your thoughts on this movie. It is my first viewing of it as well as Mr. fourlemons. Our son who is currently here has seen it before.

Good but overrated.

reply

Reminds me so far of Game of Thrones.

reply

One of my favourite movies. I've seen it countless times. I saw the second one last week. It was not as good as the first one, but I really enjoyed it. Are you guys watching the theatrical or the extended cut?

reply

I'm enjoying it so far. I think it's the theatrical cut.

reply

Based off the Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix characters, this movie should have been called "Gladiator and Sad He Didn't".

reply

I read this when I had first woken up and didn't get it so I asked Mr fourlemons if he did. We laid there for a moment pondering and then it hit me.

Then there was much giggling. πŸ˜‚

Silly Fred.

I like a lot this movie, the soundtrack is amazing.

Speaking about Gladiator, in about one hour I am going to the cinema to watch Gladiator II. I do not expect that it will be so good like the first one, but let's see. A good way to begin with the weekend.

reply

I liked the soundtrack too, and it reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean. It turns out it's the same composer.

Have fun at the movies and have a great weekend!

reply

Yes, Hans Zimmer is the composer. My second favourite one. I attended twice the concert " the world of Hans Zimmer" πŸ‘.
Your opinion about the movie yesterday?

Thank you, I wish you a nice weekend too.

reply

I'm envious that you got to go to that concert. I'm sure I would have really enjoyed it. Who is your favorite movie score composer? (I have a guess but won't write it down.)

I enjoyed it a great deal. I especially loved the ending.

reply

There is a new tour, I think now also with the music of " Sherlock Holmes " ( a nice composition).
Well, my favourite is Maestro John Williams.

reply

That's who I figured it would be. 😊 It would be hard to top him. A few weeks ago I went to a showing of Jurassic Park with our local symphony playing the score. I enjoyed that very much.

reply

Ten points for Fourlemons!
Yes, he is really the number one.
It is nice that you enjoyed the music played by your local symphony!

Well, in a few minutes I will be on my way to the cinema πŸŽ₯ πŸŽ₯
