I really like Pink Floyd! Their movie (The Wall) Is amazing.

I have all their albums and like them a lot. They’re almost like 3 bands: -
Syd Barrett era
Roger Waters era
David Gilmour era

You could even add a 4th era of Roger Waters thinking he owns everything about them and he should be the only person to perform their music.

It is interesting how they'd lose their lead songwriter and then someone else would have to step up and end up being successful as well.

I listened to some of their Syd Barrett era stuff and couldn't really get that into it. I don't dislike it, but I really prefer Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon.

The early stuff is trippy, which is ok. The next period was iconic. The later stuff more chilled.

Amazing!! I saw them twice in concert: Once in 1987 with the release of Momentary Lapse of Reason and the other in 1994 in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City MO. Then I saw Roger Waters in concert in 2021 and he played nothing but Pink Floyd with a couple of numbers from his failed solo career. Excellent show with the takeaway being the Anti-Trump segment during one of his numbers he was performing. I took a bathroom break on that one 🎸

There are 4 Pink Floyds, really.

The first two? Not my favorite thing, but i can enjoy it. Nice to space out to. Noodly, pleasant guitar solos. I can appreciate it. Or I could before I really found out what Roger Waters was. Would not listen to that music now.

The last two? Absolutely not.

One of the things on my bucket list is to go to Scandinavia and stay in one of those domed things where you can sleep and look up at the Northern lights - get high and listen to Pink Floyd.
