I was told if I swallowed a seed a plant would grow inside my belly.
I was also told if I swallowed gum it would stay in me for the rest of my life.
So far I haven't sprouted anything and my insides are not stuck together.
What baloney did your parents (or others) feed you?
For the first 10 years of my life my mother told me that I was worthless and that I should never have been born, which was a little questionable.

Needless to say, my childhood was harrowing.

shareHonestly, there’s nothing to feel sorry for. From the age of 10 onwards I’ve been blessed with a fantastic life. I have a beautiful family of my own and friends all over the world - I wouldn’t change it for anything.
As a child I was painfully shy and withdrawn; when you’re constantly told that you’re worthless, you start to believe it after a while, but I realised once I’d moved that it wasn’t true and it made me who I am today.
