Peanut the Squirrel Update

Nationwide anger.

Identity of the main investigator is known. But, 10+ agents showed up at the man's animal sanctuary. It must have been a slow day at the office. If a permit was pending, they should have left the animals alone.

Also looks like a cover-up about the rabies test results which have not been released like they're supposed to be each month. Likely negative. Owner Longo said agents were wearing thick gloves so he's not buying the story that an agent was bitten. I was skeptical, too.

Finally, I don't like the politicized finger-pointing. Realistically, there are power-hungry sociopaths, liberal and conservative, in and out of government work. Just because it's New York doesn't automatically mean the agent(s) was a Democrat. Law enforcement agents and rural area folks tend to be Republican, but realistically could be either party or none. Let's not exploit Peanut and Fred for political gain. RIP
