I hope that couple that has the bear as a "pet" lets him exercise every day. Only way you could get away with having a huge animal like that is to let him run around in a big yard and maybe let him hunt in the woods each day, maybe take him hiking with you. You can't afford to have him in a cage or stuck in houses all the time, because it would drive an animal like that nuts. I've seen it sooooo many times with people nutty enough to keep dangerous animals like that as pets in the city. Hopefully this couple has the sense to live out in the countryside. Russia has lots of wide open space, so it wouldn't be hard to buy some land with forests out there in Russia and set up shop there. Otherwise, I don't see any good coming out of their relationship with this bear. I know they're being careful, but there's a reason most people don't keep such powerful animals as pets.
