Who keeps creating accounts and then deleting it ?

I keep seeing threads that pop up on the site. I look to the user and it was Posted By Deleted. Who keeps doing that ? They're afraid of having a thread history ?

It might be different people. There are multiple users who have deleted their accounts in the past.

The only way to be certain is to check the IP address.

Hownos had 100,000 posts when he deleted. Many of those posts are his.

Nah, he wouldn't be so crass. I'm just saying if you see an unusual amount of "by [deleted]" posts, most of them are Hownos.

did anyone ever find out what happened? did he go to another site? deleting your identity is a bold move. I would rather just leave and have my name live here forever.

I agree with you. When I go I leave my posts in tact as a constant reminder. Hownos was a fool to erase 7 years of hard work here.

I think somebody said Hownos is posting on a place called MovieForum. I can't think of a more generic name for a forum.🤣

THanks. I did a cursory search but couldn't find his account.

Hownos should really come back now. That site doesn't have all the IMDb legacy boards of course.

I've actually seen people post a comment and delete their account within minutes. I don't understand the logic behind it.

You can find out who a [deleted] user is by clicking ignore in their post and checking the last entry in your ignore list. Then you can see all their posts and replies. Like for example your mystery poster
