(CLOSED) ***Baker's Dozen: Movie sequels or TV show seasons with Time Jumps beyond Their Real-World Release Gaps***

1. Breeders (2020-2023)

(Season 2 only came out a year after the first season but the shows plot jumped forward 5 years in the future and recast the two kids and had them played by older actors)

"For All Mankind"

Best ones involve only children:

Both "Family Ties" and "Fresh Prince of Belair" did a time jump with a baby that turned into a school-age child after a summer break.

Ultimate time jump was a mom bringing her baby upstairs to sleep in his crib. The baby wasn't seen or mentioned until he appears as a young man one year later. I think "General Hospital" a zillion years ago.

1. Breeders (2020-2023)
2. Young Sheldon (2017)
In the last few seasons the series timeline advanced only a year for every two seasons.

2. Young Sheldon (2017)
3. Family Ties (1982-1989)
The family has a kid in one of the early seasons and jumps about 4 years in the very next season.

8. Sledge Hammer! (1986–1988)

I loved Sledge Hammer! so much! I'm rewatching all of my old favorites from the 80s/90s, but I think it's awfully hard to find this one on streaming. There's a complete series DVD I may have to get.
