I have messaged Jim about the site slowness

Not sure when he will see it though as he doesn't check the email address that often.

reply

Thank you, I emailed both addresses, [email protected] and [email protected].

reply

Me, too.

reply

Thanks. Seems to be better at the moment. Hopefully the improvement lasts this time.

reply

Probably because less people are online right now early in the am - it gets worse during US daytime hours. Which would indicate it's some kind of server load issue due to traffic.

reply

Bloody yanks again.

1917, 1942. We'll be back again when you're in trouble.

reply

Waiting for the beast to be mortally wounded is a great tactic. We didn't have the luxury of waiting around for someone else to do it. You're welcome.

I'm revving my diesel-powered PC as loudly as possible, producing billows of black smoke, and I think I loaded a page 0.02 seconds quicker.

reply

3 hours later and seems to be loading pretty quickly.

Hi,

Has a non strictly personal (long-term responsive, sustainable) approach to server/site maintenance been discussed with Jim ?

There are plenty willing to fund & pitch in, if he has concerns.

reply

You would have to ask Jim about that.

reply

It’ll be great to return to normal service 🤞

reply

Thank you very much.

reply

Upon reading your message, I think a few of my brain cells might have burned out. I hope Jim's are still intact!

reply

Lol. Spacing would have been nice.

reply

Thanks. I messaged Jim, hopefully something can be done✌️

reply

I couldn't hardly use the site at all yesterday. It wouldn't even load. I'm surprised my recent comment on the First Blood board even posted. Cause right after I submitted it, I got an error message saying the site didn't load.

Edit: This post took over a minute to load.
